The average iron oxides and hydroxides import price stood at $1,236 per ton in 2022, rising by 27% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average import price increased by 28%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $1,465 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
