The average import price for iron and non-alloy steel in ingots stood at $8,000 per ton in 2022, declining by -25.9% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 141%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $10,802 per ton in 2021, and then fell dramatically in the following year.
