The average import price for plants, live; bulbs, tubers, tuberous roots, corms, crowns and rhizomes, dormants stood at $0.3 per unit in 2022, declining by -7.4% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, posted buoyant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 74% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $0.3 per unit in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for the Netherlands.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the Netherlands amounted to +6.5% per year.

Over the period under review, the export price, however, posted a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 153%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $0.5 per unit in 2021, and then contracted modestly in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($0.7 per unit), while the average price for exports to Ireland ($0.3 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Switzerland (+16.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, exports recorded a precipitous shrinkage. The exports peaked at 141M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, exports of plants, live; bulbs, tubers, tuberous roots, corms, crowns and rhizomes, dormants declined to $17M in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 18% against the previous year.
