The average import price for inorganic acids; other than hydrogen fluorides stood at $1,092 per ton in October 2023, which is down by -12.5% against the previous month. Overall, the import price recorded a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 28% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $2,728 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to October 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Israel ($4,905 per ton), while the price for Taiwan (Chinese) ($585 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Over the period under review, export price indicated a noticeable increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for inorganic acids; other than hydrogen fluorides decreased by -4.2% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 29%.
