The average inner tubes, of rubber export price stood at $1.8 per unit in March 2022, with an increase of 3.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a abrupt downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in August 2021 when the average export price increased by 18% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $5.9 per unit in January 2022; however, from February 2022 to March 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($3.8 per unit), while the average price for exports to Cambodia ($1.5 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bulgaria (0.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
