The average grapes; fresh or dried import price stood at $2,357 per ton in December 2022, with an increase of 2.2% against the previous month. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2022 when the average import price increased by 5.8% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $2,437 per ton in March 2022; afterwards, it flattened through to December 2022.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2022, the countries with the highest prices were South Africa ($2,445 per ton) and South Korea ($2,445 per ton), while the price for Australia ($2,008 per ton) and Chile ($2,008 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Taiwan (Chinese) (-2.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
