The average import price for copper plates, sheets and strips stood at $15,685 per ton in September 2022, approximately mirroring the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in August 2022 when the average import price increased by 25% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $17,193 per ton in May 2022; however, from June 2022 to September 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was China ($23,076 per ton), while the price for Germany ($14,484 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Denmark (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Korea (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
