The average import price for furniture; wooden, other than for office, kitchen or bedroom use stood at $58.8 per unit in November 2023, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 an increase of 13% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $69.1 per unit. From May 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($125 per unit), while the price for China ($62.9 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
