The average import price for furniture; of cane, osier, or similar materials (other than bamboo or rattan) stood at $4,724 per ton in 2022, which is down by -15.5% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, enjoyed moderate growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the average import price increased by 59% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $6,132 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($20,614 per ton), while the price for Poland ($2,102 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+5.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, the export price, however, enjoyed resilient growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2023 when the average export price increased by 139% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $33,760 per ton. From August 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Russia ($41,887 per ton), while the average price for exports to Estonia ($3,067 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Norway (+17.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
