The average import price for frozen carcasses and half-carcasses of bovine meat stood at $1,068 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 14% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a pronounced decline. The import price peaked at $1,700 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
