The average export price for frozen boneless cuts of bovine meat stood at $6,042 per ton in October 2023, surging by 2.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 5.8% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $6,298 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to October 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Israel ($9,434 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ghana ($1,476 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hong Kong SAR (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
