The average import price for fresh or chilled domestic ducks, not cut in pieceses stood at $4,381 per ton in October 2023, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Over the period from October 2022 to October 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7%. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 36% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $6,257 per ton. From June 2023 to October 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the countries with the highest prices were the Czech Republic ($4,857 per ton) and the Netherlands ($4,564 per ton), while the price for Germany ($3,938 per ton) and Hungary ($4,423 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
