Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 13% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $5,486 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to October 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 7% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $4,946 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to October 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In October 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Slovakia ($5,770 per ton) and Germany ($5,221 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($4,228 per ton) and Austria ($4,374 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
