In November 2023, the average export price for fish fillets; frozen, cod (gadus morhua, gadus ogac, gadus macrocephalus)s amounted to $7,836 per ton, flattening at the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2023 when the average export price increased by 12% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $8,042 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to November 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In November 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to France ($9,628 per ton) and Germany ($9,180 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($7,109 per ton) and Poland ($7,430 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+2.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 15% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $9,226 per ton. From May 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Norway ($9,693 per ton) and Lithuania ($9,220 per ton), while the price for China ($7,270 per ton) and Iceland ($7,841 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Norway (+6.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
