In 2022, the average farm machinery and equipment import price amounted to less than $0.1 per unit, approximately equating the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a pronounced slump. Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was China ($51.1 per unit), while the average price for exports to Mexico ($3.5 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+12.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Imports of Farm Machinery and Equipment in the United States
After two years of decline, supplies from abroad of farm machinery and equipment decreased by 0% to less than 0.1 units in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The smallest decline of 99.9% was in 2020.
