The average import price for cutlery; other than plated with precious metals stood at $2,755 per ton in February 2022, growing by 38% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a resilient expansion from February 2021 to February 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +5.7% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on February 2022 figures, import price for cutlery; other than plated with precious metals increased by +47.8% against November 2021 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2021 an increase of 62% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $3,388 per ton in October 2021; however, from November 2021 to February 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was India ($7,300 per ton), while the price for Brazil ($1,445 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2021 to February 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+5.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average export price for cutlery; other than plated with precious metals amounted to $18,619 per ton, rising by 3.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a tangible expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for cutlery; other than plated with precious metals increased by +112.9% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average export price increased by 38%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Venezuela ($26,471 per ton), while the average price for exports to Panama ($6,857 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Venezuela (+10.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
