In 2016, the global tableware imports amounted to X tonnes, approximately equating the previous year figure. Overall, tableware imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014, when imports increased by X% from the previous year level. In that year, global tableware imports reached its maximum volume of X tonnes. From 2015 to 2016, growth of global tableware imports stood at a somewhat lower level.
In value terms, tableware imports stood at $X in 2016. Overall, tableware imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. In that year, global tableware imports attained its maximum level of $X. From 2012 to 2016, growth of global tableware imports failed to regain its strength.

Tableware Imports By Country
China (X tonnes) prevails in tableware imports structure, accounting for X tonnes, which was approx. X% of total imports in 2016. It was distantly followed by Iran (X tonnes), achieving X% share of total tableware imports. The following importers - the Philippines (X tonnes), India (X tonnes), Singapore (X tonnes), Germany (X tonnes), the UK (X tonnes), and France (X tonnes) together made up X% of total imports.
China experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. At the same time, Singapore (+X%), Iran (+X%), and India (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Singapore emerged as the fastest growing importer/exporter in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2016. By contrast, Germany (-X%), the UK (-X%), the Philippines (-X%), and France (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of the Philippines (X%) increased significantly, the share of Singapore (-X%), and Iran (-X%) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest tableware markets worldwide were Germany ($X), the UK ($X) and France ($X), with a combined X% share of global imports. These countries were followed by Iran, Singapore, China, the Philippines and India, which together accounted for a further X%.
Singapore (+X% per year) recorded the highest growth rate of tableware imports, in terms of the main importing countries, over the last X year period, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Tableware Import Prices By Country
In 2016, the average import price for tableware amounted to $X per tonne, going down by -X% against the previous year. In general, tableware import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011, when import increased by X% against the previous year level. In that year, average tableware import price reached its maximum level of $X per tonne. From 2012 to 2016, growth of average tableware import price stood at a somewhat lower level.
Import prices varied noticeably by country of destination. the country with the highest import prices was Germany ($X per kg), while China ($X per tonne) was among the lowest.
From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of tableware import prices was attained by the Philippines (+X% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
