In December 2023, the average export price for copper; refined and copper alloys, unwroughts amounted to $9,005 per ton, standing approximately at the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 an increase of 10% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $9,600 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to December 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In December 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to the Czech Republic ($9,652 per ton) and Croatia ($9,170 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($8,792 per ton) and Germany ($9,017 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+0.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
