Price for Cereal Flours; Other than of Wheat or Meslin in Ghana (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average export price for cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin amounted to $1,435 per ton, which is down by -3.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a tangible increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the average export price increased by 95%. The export price peaked at $1,483 per ton in 2021, and then reduced slightly in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($1,793 per ton), while the average price for exports to Cote d'Ivoire ($521 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Burkina Faso (+7.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price peaked at $999 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($1,616 per ton), while the price for Lebanon ($147 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
