Over the period under review, the export price recorded a slight descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2023 when the average export price increased by 9.8% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $3,387 per ton. From September 2023 to December 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($4,682 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($1,436 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+1.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
