Price for Brass Tubes and Pipes in Malaysia (CIF) - 2021
In December 2021, the average brass tubes and pipes import price amounted to $10,341 per ton, waning by -31.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, posted a temperate increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in August 2021 when the average import price increased by 116% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $16,800 per ton in June 2021; however, from July 2021 to December 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2021, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($12,581 per ton), while the price for China stood at $9,983 per ton.
From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average brass tubes and pipes export price amounted to $10,369 per ton, with an increase of 17% against the previous year.
