Price for Blankets and Travelling Rugs in Ireland (CIF) - 2023
The average blankets and travelling rugs import price stood at $10.3 per unit in August 2023, dropping by -1.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 28% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $14.6 per unit in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to August 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($22.2 per unit), while the price for India ($5.7 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+8.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average blankets and travelling rugs export price amounted to $34 per unit, which is down by -2.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average export price increased by 25%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $44 per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($81 per unit), while the average price for exports to Spain ($8.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Blankets and Travelling Rugs in Ireland
