In August 2023, the average import price for bedspreads; not knitted or crocheteds amounted to $5.3 per unit, with an increase of 14% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated pronounced growth from August 2022 to August 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.5% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on August 2023 figures, bedspreads; not knitted or crocheted import price increased by +28.7% against May 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 54% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $7.8 per unit in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($14.5 per unit), while the price for India ($2.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+6.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($60.6 per unit), while the average price for exports to the UK ($10.2 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Cyprus (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
