In 2022, the average andalusite, kyanite and sillimanite export price amounted to $1,564 per ton, with a decrease of -13.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a resilient increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by 32%. The export price peaked at $1,800 per ton in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Malaysia.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Indonesia amounted to +11.5% per year.
