In March 2022, the average aluminium; alloys, hollow profiles export price amounted to $5,421 per ton, with a decrease of -9.4% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2021 an increase of 9.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $5,985 per ton in February 2022, and then dropped in the following month.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In March 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices to the UK ($5,931 per ton) and Russia ($5,675 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Czech Republic ($4,457 per ton) and Poland ($4,465 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In March 2022, the average aluminium; alloys, hollow profiles import price amounted to $4,306 per ton, which is down by -12.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a slight curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2021 an increase of 10% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $5,333 per ton in November 2021; however, from December 2021 to March 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Germany ($5,925 per ton), while the price for China ($2,214 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Exports of Aluminium; Alloys, Hollow Profiles in Belarus
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of aluminium; alloys, hollow profileses, when their volume decreased by -7.2% to 24K tons. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.0% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 17% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 25K tons, and then declined in the following year.
In value terms, aluminium; alloys, hollow profiles exports contracted rapidly to $104M in 2022. In general, total exports indicated resilient growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.9% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +23.6% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 47% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $124M, and then declined rapidly in the following year.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 44%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $36M, and then contracted dramatically in the following year.
