The average export price for acids; aromatic polycarboxylic acids; other esters of orthophthalic acidses stood at $1,606 per ton in July 2023, flattening at the previous month. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 an increase of 3.5% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $1,725 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to July 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In July 2023, the countries with the highest prices were the United States ($2,072 per ton) and Malaysia ($1,674 per ton), while the average price for exports to Oman ($1,405 per ton) and Spain ($1,503 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In July 2023, the average import price for acids; aromatic polycarboxylic acids; other esters of orthophthalic acidses amounted to $1,687 per ton, picking up by 9.7% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 an increase of 117% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,207 per ton. From February 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Japan ($4,241 per ton), while the price for South Korea amounted to $1,397 per ton.
From November 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Japan (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, exports of acids; aromatic polycarboxylic acids; other esters of orthophthalic acidses from India shrank slightly to 16K tons, with a decrease of -3.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, exports, however, enjoyed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 77% against the previous year.
