Preserved Sweet Corn Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2023
The average preserved sweet corn import price stood at $2,106 per ton in July 2023, stabilizing at the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a perceptible downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 an increase of 40% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $2,777 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($2,299 per ton), while the price for China ($1,146 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+5.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Preserved Sweet Corn Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average preserved sweet corn export price amounted to $1,694 per ton, growing by 11% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a slight contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2022 when the average export price increased by 30% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,317 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to July 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($2,557 per ton), while the average price for exports to Syrian Arab Republic ($1,136 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+4.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Preserved Sweet Corn Imports in Turkey
Preserved sweet corn imports into Turkey reduced sharply to 2.5K tons in 2022, waning by -28.3% on 2021 figures. In general, imports showed a drastic downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 15%.
In value terms, preserved sweet corn imports reduced to $4.4M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a pronounced contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 34%.

In 2022, shipments abroad of sweet corn prepared or preserved decreased by -3.4% to 2.5K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 309% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 2.6K tons, and then dropped slightly in the following year.
In value terms, preserved sweet corn exports surged to $3.9M in 2022. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 290%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.
