Preservative-Treated Rough Wood Price in the Philippines (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average preservative-treated rough wood import price amounted to $270 per cubic meter, growing by 25% against the previous year. Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Australia ($274 per cubic meter), while the price for the United States totaled $268 per cubic meter.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Papua New Guinea (+15.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Preservative-Treated Rough Wood Price in the Philippines (FOB) - 2022
The average preservative-treated rough wood export price stood at $200 per cubic meter in 2021, remaining constant against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the average export price increased by 210% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $927 per cubic meter. From 2017 to 2021, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Malaysia.

Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a dramatic shrinkage. Imports peaked at 11K cubic meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
