Postcard Price in the United Arab Emirates (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average postcard import price amounted to $13,852 per ton, reducing by -7.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the average import price increased by 30%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $14,914 per ton in 2021, and then fell in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($31,994 per ton), while the price for China ($6,055 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+9.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average postcard export price stood at $9,583 per ton in 2022, declining by -8.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 99% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $14,174 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Postcard imports into the United Arab Emirates shrank to 116 tons in 2022, reducing by -13.4% compared with 2021 figures. Overall, imports continue to indicate a sharp slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 34% against the previous year.

In value terms, postcard imports shrank dramatically to $1.6M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 64% against the previous year.
