Persimmon Price in Poland (CIF) - 2022

The average persimmon import price stood at $1,678 per ton in 2022, rising by 37% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, persimmon import price increased by +104.0% against 2016 indices. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from Italy ($2,020 per ton) and Portugal ($1,966 per ton), while the price for Spain ($1,629 per ton) and Germany ($1,785 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+10.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Persimmon Price in Poland (FOB) - 2022

The average persimmon export price stood at $1,071 per ton in 2022, surging by 12% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a mild decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 16% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $1,290 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Kyrgyzstan ($1,250 per ton) and Russia ($1,197 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($1,044 per ton) and Belarus ($1,076 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (-0.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Persimmon Imports in Poland

After three years of growth, purchases abroad of persimmons decreased by -50.3% to 6.4K tons in 2022. Overall, imports saw a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 18%.

In value terms, persimmon imports shrank remarkably to $11M in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated resilient growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 51% against the previous year.
