Non-Propelled Vehicle Price in Indonesia (CIF) - 2022

In March 2022, the average non-propelled vehicle import price amounted to $25.9 per unit, picking up by 15% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2021 an increase of 43% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $39.5 per unit. From November 2021 to March 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($29.6 per unit), while the price for China stood at $23.5 per unit.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Malaysia (+3.2%).

Non-Propelled Vehicle Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022

The average non-propelled vehicle export price stood at $16 per unit in 2022, declining by -30.3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a perceptible contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the average export price increased by 15% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $27 per unit. From 2016 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($61 per unit), while the average price for exports to Oman ($9.5 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+6.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Non-Propelled Vehicle Imports in Indonesia

In 2022, supplies from abroad of vehicles not mechanically propelled was finally on the rise to reach 634K units for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, imports, however, showed a perceptible curtailment. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at 702K units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, non-propelled vehicle imports skyrocketed to $27M in 2022. In general, imports recorded a buoyant expansion. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, the amount of vehicles not mechanically propelled exported from Indonesia dropped to 36K units, which is down by -2.4% against the previous year's figure. In general, exports recorded a abrupt setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 4.9%. The exports peaked at 44K units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, non-propelled vehicle exports reduced sharply to $581K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports showed a abrupt setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $1M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
