Monoethanolamine Price in the UK (CIF) - 2023
The average monoethanolamine import price stood at $1,774 per ton in June 2023, reducing by -26.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 11% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $4,233 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Saudi Arabia ($2,183 per ton) and Germany ($1,851 per ton), while the price for the United States ($1,583 per ton) and China ($1,658 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mexico (-2.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Monoethanolamine Price in the UK (FOB) - 2022
The average monoethanolamine export price stood at $5,536 per ton in 2022, increasing by 129% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($14,252 per ton), while the average price for exports to Egypt ($1,284 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to India (+8.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
