Linseed Price in the Czech Republic (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average linseed import price amounted to $775 per ton, remaining stable against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price saw a pronounced descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 11% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $1,195 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($1,018 per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($534 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+0.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Linseed Price in the Czech Republic (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average linseed export price amounted to $1,243 per ton, dropping by -16% against the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a mild decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 an increase of 33% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $1,648 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to August 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($1,859 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($876 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+3.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Linseed Imports in the Czech Republic
In 2022, the amount of linseed imported into the Czech Republic stood at 15K tons, increasing by 13% compared with 2021.
