Iodine Price in Poland (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average iodine import price amounted to $72,034 per ton, with an increase of 91% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $75,176 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Chile (+2.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average iodine export price amounted to $86,063 per ton, rising by 298% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $114,899 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($85,095 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia ($37,382 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+0.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Iodine Imports in Poland

In 2022, iodine imports into Poland skyrocketed to 51 tons, jumping by 146% against the year before. Overall, imports recorded a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 169%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.
