In June 2023, the average groundnut oil export price amounted to $3,440 per ton, jumping by 19% against the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 27% against the previous month. The export price peaked in June 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was France ($4,386 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($2,611 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+5.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average groundnut oil import price stood at $3,038 per ton in May 2023, surging by 15% against the previous month.
