Glass Fibre Voiles Price in the Philippines (FOB) - 2023
The average glass fibre voiles export price stood at $3,778 per ton in June 2023, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 17% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $4,128 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to June 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Japan ($4,085 per ton), while the average price for exports to Pakistan totaled $3,103 per ton.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+1.4%).

The average glass fibre voiles import price stood at $12,016 per ton in 2022, picking up by 42% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 751%. The import price peaked at $25,521 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($93,051 per ton), while the price for China ($2,826 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
