In October 2022, the average glass fibre voiles import price amounted to $2,968 per ton, with an increase of 77% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated a tangible expansion from October 2021 to October 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.5% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on October 2022 figures, glass fibre voiles import price increased by +76.7% against September 2022 indices. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $3,098 per ton in March 2022; however, from April 2022 to October 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2022, the country with the highest price was China ($5,135 per ton), while the price for Kuwait totaled $2,051 per ton.
From October 2021 to October 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+5.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
