The average glass fibre voiles import price stood at $4,888 per ton in 2022, falling by -2.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average import price increased by 9.5%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $5,411 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were the Netherlands ($5,497 per ton) and Germany ($5,108 per ton), while the price for the United States ($4,378 per ton) and China ($4,694 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
