Glass Fibre Voiles Price in Australia (CIF) - 2022

The average glass fibre voiles import price stood at $9,025 per ton in 2022, surging by 9.8% against the previous year. In general, the import price enjoyed a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 53%. The import price peaked at $9,263 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($16,060 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($3,768 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+23.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average glass fibre voiles export price amounted to $10,515 per ton, declining by -11.5% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a noticeable increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, glass fibre voiles export price increased by +95.7% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average export price increased by 94%. The export price peaked at $12,410 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Indonesia ($11,255 per ton) and New Zealand ($11,233 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($9,665 per ton) and Thailand ($10,037 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Indonesia (+10.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Glass Fibre Voiles Imports in Australia

In 2022, approx. 236 tons of glass fibre voiles were imported into Australia; with a decrease of -19.2% on 2021. In general, imports recorded a slight reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 46% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 292 tons, and then declined notably in the following year.

In value terms, glass fibre voiles imports fell to $2.1M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern.
