The average glass fibre mat import price stood at $1,800 per ton in December 2022, with a decrease of -13% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a pronounced decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2022 when the average import price increased by 31% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3,143 per ton. From February 2022 to December 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Turkey ($2,550 per ton), while the price for China ($1,444 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+5.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average glass fibre mat export price stood at $3,067 per ton in 2022, surging by 14% against the previous year. In general, the export price enjoyed a moderate increase. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
