Glass Fibre Mat Price in the United States (CIF) - 2021
In December 2021, the average glass fibre mat import price amounted to $2,440 per ton, with a decrease of -4.3% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.6%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2021 when the average import price increased by 14% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $2,549 per ton in November 2021, and then reduced modestly in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2021, the country with the highest price was Germany ($3,705 per ton), while the price for Thailand ($1,858 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+2.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Glass Fibre Mat Price in the United States (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average glass fibre mat export price amounted to $2,371 per ton, standing approx. at the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a notable expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when the average export price increased by 35% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $2,395 per ton in 2019; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.
