Glass Fibre Fabrics Price in Australia (CIF) - 2022

The average glass fibre fabrics import price stood at $6,589 per ton in 2022, flattening at the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a slight descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 16% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $7,602 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($14,288 per ton), while the price for Malaysia ($3,047 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Glass Fibre Fabrics Price in Australia (FOB) - 2022

The average glass fibre fabrics export price stood at $13,832 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -9.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a slight contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 51% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $17,067 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Papua New Guinea ($24,374 per ton), while the average price for exports to Indonesia ($8,720 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to New Caledonia (+23.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
