Frozen Strawberries Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2022
The average frozen strawberries export price stood at $2,153 per ton in 2022, rising by 1.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a slight decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 5.4%. The export price peaked at $2,583 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Italy ($2,380 per ton) and Serbia ($2,369 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($1,757 per ton) and the Netherlands ($1,862 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Serbia (+0.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average frozen strawberries import price amounted to $1,414 per ton, rising by 40% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 70% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $1,595 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($2,785 per ton), while the price for Iran ($336 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Bosnia and Herzegovina (+15.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Frozen Strawberries Exports in Turkey
After three years of growth, overseas shipments of frozen strawberrieses decreased by -11.4% to 22K tons in 2022. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +8.3% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 33% against the previous year.
In value terms, frozen strawberries exports fell to $47M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +10.8% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 33%.

Frozen Strawberries Imports in Turkey
After three years of growth, supplies from abroad of frozen strawberrieses decreased by -14.8% to 4.2K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 84% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 4.9K tons, and then dropped in the following year.
In value terms, frozen strawberries imports surged to $6M in 2022. In general, imports, however, posted a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 214% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
