In July 2023, the average frozen chicken cut import price amounted to $2,797 per ton, which is down by -2.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 14% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,013 per ton. From May 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was France ($3,842 per ton), while the price for Italy ($1,582 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+11.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average frozen chicken cut export price stood at $1,876 per ton in July 2023, surging by 1.6% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern.
