Dry Vegetable Price in Israel (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average dry vegetable import price amounted to $3,954 per ton, growing by 3.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 39%. The import price peaked at $4,045 per ton in 2017; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were Argentina ($3,992 per ton) and Romania ($3,992 per ton), while the price for India ($2,785 per ton) and the United States ($3,891 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+3.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Dry Vegetable Price in Israel (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average dry vegetable export price amounted to $5,136 per ton, approximately mirroring the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.9%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 28%. The export price peaked at $5,180 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Australia ($5,137 per ton) and the United States ($5,137 per ton), while the average price for exports to Singapore ($5,137 per ton) and Canada ($5,137 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Mexico (+10.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Dry Vegetable Imports in Israel

In 2022, the amount of dry vegetables imported into Israel skyrocketed to 50K tons, increasing by 32% compared with the year before. In general, imports saw significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 465% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, dry vegetable imports soared to $198M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed significant growth.
