Dried Grapes Price in China (CIF) - 2023

In September 2023, the average dried grapes import price amounted to $2,085 per ton, rising by 9.4% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a slight reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2023 an increase of 17% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $2,462 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($3,587 per ton), while the price for Uzbekistan ($1,550 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+0.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Dried Grapes Price in China (FOB) - 2023

The average dried grapes export price stood at $1,626 per ton in September 2023, rising by 4.8% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a mild decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 27% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $2,322 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Japan ($5,053 per ton), while the average price for exports to Mongolia ($899 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+0.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Dried Grapes Imports in China

Dried grapes imports into China declined to 23K tons in 2022, falling by -10.4% compared with the previous year. Over the period under review, imports recorded a abrupt descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 14% against the previous year.

In value terms, dried grapes imports contracted to $44M in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 33% against the previous year.

Dried Grapes Exports in China

For the third year in a row, China recorded decline in overseas shipments of dried grapes, which decreased by -15.4% to 17K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, exports saw a sharp curtailment.

In value terms, dried grapes exports contracted to $36M in 2022. Overall, exports faced a sharp reduction.
