Dried Vegetables Price in Indonesia (CIF) - 2022
In March 2022, the average dried vegetables import price amounted to $2,474 per ton, rising by 19% against the previous month. Over the period from March 2021 to March 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2021 an increase of 20% m-o-m. The import price peaked in March 2022.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was the United States ($7,209 per ton), while the price for China totaled $2,002 per ton.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+1.3%).

In March 2022, the average dried vegetables export price amounted to $4,296 per ton, reducing by -6.9% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, enjoyed a measured increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2021 an increase of 235% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $8,722 per ton in November 2021; however, from December 2021 to March 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was China ($7,322 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($1,837 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Australia (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the amount of dried vegetables and mixtures of vegetables imported into Indonesia soared to 14K tons, with an increase of 68% against the previous year. In general, imports posted a prominent increase. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, shipments abroad of dried vegetables and mixtures of vegetables decreased by -20% to 1.7K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Overall, total exports indicated prominent growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +12.0% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +40.5% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 57%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 2.1K tons, and then fell dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, dried vegetables exports expanded remarkably to $12M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 128%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
