The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when exports increased by X% y-o-y. Exports peaked in 2020 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

Viet Nam (X tonnes) was the main destination for dried mushroom exports from Indonesia, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, dried mushroom exports to Viet Nam exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Hong Kong SAR (X tonnes), twofold. Myanmar (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Viet Nam totaled +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Hong Kong SAR (+X% per year) and Myanmar (X% per year).

In value terms, Hong Kong SAR ($X), Viet Nam ($X) and Myanmar ($X) were the largest markets for dried mushroom exported from Indonesia worldwide, with a combined X% share of total exports.

In terms of the main countries of destination, Hong Kong SAR (+X% per year) recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2020, the average dried mushroom export price amounted to $X per tonne, falling by -X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a noticeable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2012 when the average export price increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average export prices attained the maximum at $X per tonne in 2019, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2020, the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Myanmar ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Viet Nam, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2020, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas purchases of mushrooms (dried), when their volume decreased by -X% to X tonnes. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, dried mushroom imports fell sharply to $X in 2020. Overall, imports, however, showed a noticeable shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of X% y-o-y. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. from 2014 to 2020, the growth imports failed to regain the momentum.
