Cotton Sewing Thread Price in the United States (CIF) - 2023

In August 2023, the average cotton sewing thread import price amounted to $12,935 per ton, reducing by -20.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price saw a slight decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 an increase of 90% month-to-month. The average cotton sewing thread export price stood at $10,363 per ton in 2022, which is down by -2.2% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 39%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $12,808 per ton. From 2016 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
