Commercial Refrigeration Equipment Price in Norway (CIF) - 2022
The average commercial refrigeration equipment import price stood at $418 per unit in 2022, with an increase of 3.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a noticeable shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 7.9%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $678 per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Finland ($3,132 per unit), while the price for Hungary ($160 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Romania (+19.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Commercial Refrigeration Equipment Price in Norway (FOB) - 2022
The average commercial refrigeration equipment export price stood at $357 per unit in 2022, increasing by 8.1% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a perceptible curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average export price increased by 34%. The export price peaked at $557 per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($698 per unit), while the average price for exports to Germany ($307 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Angola (+13.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Commercial Refrigeration Equipment Imports in Norway
In 2022, commercial refrigeration equipment imports into Norway fell to 491K units, shrinking by -2% on the year before. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.0% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 13%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 501K units, and then fell slightly in the following year.
In value terms, commercial refrigeration equipment imports expanded to $205M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.9% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. Commercial Refrigeration Equipment Exports in Norway
In 2022, overseas shipments of refrigerating and freezing equipment and heat pumps (except household type equipment) decreased by -31.9% to 60K units for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 64% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 89K units, and then fell dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, commercial refrigeration equipment exports shrank notably to $22M in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a buoyant increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +12.5% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +42.5% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 42% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $29M in 2021, and then declined sharply in the following year.
